Saturday: Bike/hike pathway opens

Drawing a considerable amount of media interest in town over the past week, this Saturday's debut of a new bike/hike extension has local environmentalists and outdoor enthusiasts buzzing, as well. The Branch Street Trestle has long been a sizable, abandoned piece of the sightlines of North St. Louis, but this weekend's event highlights the structure's exciting new life as a link to the McKinley Bridge Bikeway.

Description: Biking, hiking, and festivities to celebrate the opening of the Branch Street Trestle and the McKinley Bridge Bikeway.

Times: 10:30--Biking Ride; 11:00--Entertainment; 12:00--Ribbon-cutting processional.

Location: Parking on the Missouri side near Branch Street & N. Broadway, and parking on Illinois side off of Main Street.

Event: 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM
